Women’s History Month Calendar

Now-March 31 NE Campus showcases Making History: Celebrating the Lives of Women in the J. Ardis Bell Library’s upper floor during normal business hours. The exhibit features books and biographies celebrating the contributions of women throughout history. 

Now-March 31 South Campus is hosting the Women’s History Month exhibit Young Women Makers, Shakers and Movers in the lobby of the Jenkins Garrett Library. It is available during normal business hours.

March 30 South Campus will have a mobile mammogram unit 8 a.m.-4 p.m. in the north parking lot. The unit, provided by the Moncrief Cancer Institute, will provide assistance to women 35 and over by offering free mammograms.

March 30 NE Campus will hold Ella Baker: Community Organizer of the Civil Rights Movement 12:30-1:50 p.m. in the Darlage Center Corner (NSTU 1615A). Todd Moe from the University of North Texas will discuss Baker’s role and contributions to the civil rights movement.

March 30 South Campus will hold a breast cancer awareness event 12:30-1:45 p.m. in the gym (SHPE). The event will include Dr. Robyn Young, an oncologist who will discuss the dangers of cancer and provide prevention techniques.
