Students trot around world at 3-day festival

The NE International Festival Passport to the World engaged students and brought awareness on how language and perception have impacted international students living in the U.S.

For three days, students could dive into different cultures from across the globe. Students were brought together through authentic Indian and Vietnamese food and live performances from the Grammy-winning band Brave Combo and the West African drum and dance ensemble Bandan Koro.

Around the campus, students hosted two kinds of activities: active and educational. Piñata smashing, self-defense kickboxing and pingpong actively informed students of the variety of services provided by TCC, and trivia games brought awareness to many different cultural traditions.
