The NW Campus drama team perform Reasons to Be Pretty by Neil LaBute, a comedy/drama that deals with romantic disputes and the vice of vanity.
The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. April 27-30 with a 2 p.m. matinee May 1 in the NW Theater (WTLO 1108).
NW drama students will have spent five and a half weeks rehearsing and preparing for the play under adjunct drama instructor Thomas Ward and drama associate professor Joshua Blann.
“There is so much power behind many of the scenes and characters,” said Travis Brents, who plays Greg. “No one thinks they’re wrong in this play.”
Alexandra Flurry, who plays Steph, explains “at first, the characters seem superficial, but as the play moves along, you begin to appreciate its depth.”
Tickets are free for TCC students, faculty and staff, $3 for non-TCC students and senior citizens and $6 for the general public. For reservations, call 817-515-7724. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the performance at the box office beginning at 7 p.m.
However, reservations are encouraged as seating is limited.
The play has strong language and adult content.
