Now-April 22 Read Me by Candace Hicks will run in Art Corridor II on SE Campus. The interactive exhibit is a collection of sculptures and wall texts that creates a puzzle. Now-April 28 NE Campus is exhibiting work from advanced photography students in College Hall (NCAB 1111). Photos are independent and cover a variety of genres such as installations, landscapes and portraits. The exhibit is available during school operating hours.
Now-April 29 The Fort Worth Community Arts Center at 1300 Gendy St. in Fort Worth is displaying pieces from TCC’s biennial NE art faculty and staff show. The exhibit is free and open to the public. For more information, call 817-515-6063.
Now-May 12 NW’s art program presents Under the Radar: Student Invitational Juried Exhibition. The exhibit in the WFAB Gallery will include 2-D and 3-D pieces by students. April 20-23 SE Campus’ drama program presents The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee by Rebecca Feldman with music and lyrics by William Finn. It is a musical comedy about a fictional spelling bee that takes place at Putnam Valley Middle School. The play begins at 7:30 p.m. with additional 1:30 p.m. matinees April 22-23. Tickets are $3 for non-TCC students and senior citizens, $6 for the general public, and free for TCC students, faculty and staff. Seats can be reserved by calling 817-515-3599. April 22 A piccolo concert, Lights, Camera, Piccolo!, will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall (WFAB 1105) on NW Campus. The performance will feature music from television, movies and other piccolo performances.

April 26 NE Campus presents Music Through the Centuries 7-9 p.m. in NCAB 1111, NSTU 1615A, NFAB 1104 and NFAB 1129. Students can hear music from the Middle Ages to present as the audience travels to four different rooms each representing a different era. April 26 Sophomore music majors will put on a recital at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall (WFAB 1105) on NW Campus. The presentation will be a culmination of what the students have studied in their music courses on NW.
April 27-30 NE Campus presents the musical Chicago at 7 p.m. April 27-30 with an additional 2 p.m. matinee April 30 in the theater (NFAB 1205). Set during the Prohibition era, the musical is a satire centered on the corruption of the criminal justice system and the popularity of celebrity criminals at the time. The show is free for TCC students, faculty and staff, $3 for non-TCC students and seniors and $6 for the general public. April 27-May 1 NW drama students will perform Reasons to Be Pretty by Neil LaBute at 7:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee May 1 in Theatre Northwest (WTLO 1108). The play is a romantic comedy/drama that deals with the theme of vanity and the reasons why it is such a human quality in our society. April 28 Chalk the Walk will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. between the ESEE and ESED wings on SE Campus. The sidewalk chalk competition will celebrate the arts on SE.
