NW fall intramural sports are in full swing with many activities for students, faculty and staff.

Two earlier events, kickball and dodgeball, had great turnouts, according to intramural director Aaron Garcia.

“I was surprised that so many students came to our Saturday event,” he said. “They all got fed and had a blast.”

Garcia said NW has had intramural sports for several years.

“This is the first year that we are all in to try and get students and faculty involved as much as possible,” he said. “The goal is to try to keep students on campus so that they can learn a little more and be involved more with school activities.”

All intramurals are free to any current TCC student and held on campus. All participants have to do is show up and play.

Organizers provide food and prizes, and the winners of each event get medals.

The upcoming intramural events on NW Campus include disc golf Oct. 22, indoor hockey Nov. 19 and 3-point basketball shootout Nov. 30.
