NE lecture stresses financial planning

By Edith Mariscal

NE Campus financial aid specialist Joe Rodriguez will talk to students about the importance of reducing spending and planning ahead for monthly bills along with other added expenses.

“Normally, we pick five topics at random from a list of modules that we have each semester based on student needs and what we feel would be most beneficial,” Rodriguez said.

Students will learn about the importance of credit, the difference between good and bad credit and the benefits of keeping credit scores in good standing.

“We are trying to educate students on basic life skills that they’re not aware of or never been told,” he said.

Spending Plans: Meeting Goals The Simple Way will take place 5:30-8 p.m. Oct. 31 in the Community Room (NBSS 1103) on NE Campus.
