Race to fund scholarships

TCC’s annual Toro Dash will be held at 8 a.m. Nov. 5 at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth to raise money for the TCC Wellness Fund and the student Wellness Scholarship.

The Toro Dash allows TCC students, faculty and staff and to take part in a One Mile Fun Walk/Run at 8 a.m. and a 5K and 10K at 9:45 a.m. in a competition against other TCC campuses.

“The Toro Dash was a fun opportunity to be outside with students and faculty in a non-learning environment,” former TCC Toro Dash participant Jacki Reininga said. “The proceeds go to a good cause. That was a good reason to participate.”

The top three 5K and 10K male and female finishers will be awarded on stage, and the top finishers from different age groups will also receive a medal. The TCC campus with the most participation will receive the Traveling Trophy.
