The NE Campus Theater Practicum IV class will present a variety of scenes from different plays in the Directing Showcase.
Students will display directing skills and techniques acquired from the course.
“Each student director individually selected a scene or series of scenes of pre-approved plays,” NE Playhouse company manager Darby Villano said.
Plays to be featured in the Directing Showcase include A Streetcar Named Desire, Rumors, The Variations of the Death on Trotsky and Laundry and Bourbon.
All actors in the Directing Showcase are TCC students who cast their plays through an audition process at the beginning of the semester.
The event will take place Dec. 13 in the NE Playhouse. First-time student directors will present their scenes at 3:30 p.m. Experienced student directors’ scenes start at 6:30 p.m.
