Dec. 7 NW’s health services will host Be the Match — Bone Marrow Donor Registry 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the WSTU main hallway. Donors must be aged 18-44, meet the health requirements, fill out paperwork and be willing to give a cheek cell swab for tissue type. Dec. 7 The NE Campus health center will offer free testing for sexually transmitted infections 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in health services (NSTU 1704). For more information, call 817-515-6056.

Dec. 7 NW’s health services will hold a blood drive with Carter BloodCare 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in WSTU 1303. Donors should weigh at least 110 pounds, be 17 years old or older and have a valid photo ID. Dec. 8 South Campus will hold a research showcase at 6 p.m. in the SETC lobby. Over 35 students will present posters from original research they have conducted over the semester in various areas including chemistry, biology, education, humanities and energy technology. Students are using their posters to compete for a scholarship in each of South’s four divisions. The award ceremony will follow in the SETC Fusion Room. Dec. 8 NE Campus will host Therapy Dogs ­– Paws Across Texas 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the NHPE Lobby. Students can stop by before finals to spend time with the dogs. For more information, contact Paws Across Texas at info@pawsacrosstexas.org.

Dec. 8 Tarrant County Public Health and NW health services will team up to sponsor testing for HIV and sexually transmitted diseases 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at health services (WCTS 1151). Tarrant County Public Health will test for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, hepatitis C and more. Walk-ins are welcome. Contact health services at 817-515-7672 for more information.

Dec. 8 NE Campus students are invited to attend SSS: Navigating the Online World 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Center Corner (NSTU 1615A). Students can learn from history instructor Andrew Hollinger the best ways to have an online presence in social media emails and more. Dec. 12-13 TR’s Tahita Fulkerson Library is sponsoring TheraPaws.
