Students who participated in the event take selfies while wearing traditional African dashikis, loose colorful shirts or tunics that originated in west Africa. The event was hosted by the SE Campus African Culture Club.

SE Cultural Day features a dance contest, fashion show, live music and foods from different countries and ethnicities. Students like the one above competed in the dance contest with the winner receiving a $500 award. The Cultural Day celebration happened Dec. 2 in the SE North Ballroom.
