Local black leader helps community

Paulette Turner is an active leader and speaker in various organizations in Tarrant County.

She is the developer and facilitator for the PATHS Forward program under the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce. The program provides African-American professionals leadership skills to apply in the Tarrant County community through volunteerism and working with nonprofit organizations.

Turner is president and founder of Leadership Concepts Inc., which provides leadership tools and executive coaching to individuals in the community.

She serves her local community through organizations such as the Fort Worth Chapter of the Women Presidents’ Organization, an international program that helps entrepreneurial women grow businesses through peer-learning.

Other organizations that Turner takes an active leadership role in include the Dallas Black Dance Theatre and Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business International Board of Visitors.

Previously, Turner was named a Texas Woman of Influence by the Fort Worth Business Press and has received the Outstanding Woman of the Year Award from the Fort Worth/Tarrant County Minority Leaders and Citizens Council.
