Conversations in Rhythm is having its annual district dance concert where all four student-based dance companies will perform.

Brandy Niccolai-Belfi, SE associate dance professor, will help present the concert.

“Many of our students are unaware that dance is offered at TCC. This is a great opportunity for them to see the unique style and diversity of the dance programs around the district,” she said.

Niccolai-Belfi has maintained a long-lasting relationship with Perpetual Motion, the guest artist featured in the show who will be offering a workshop as well.

All online ticket proceeds will be donated to Dancers Responding to AIDS, an organization that NE Campus and NW Campus first donated to in 2010, and the former SE dance director chose for the inaugural district dance concert.

“What we love about it is that we can use our talent of dance to give back to those in need,” Niccolai-Belfi said.

The concert will take place 2-4 p.m. and 8-10 p.m. Oct. 28, The workshop will take place 10 a.m. to noon the same day in the C.A. Roberson Theatre on SE Campus.

Tickets are free for all TCC students, $5 for online general admission and $7 at the door. The workshop entry fee is $1 or one nonperishable food item that will be donated to the TCC food pantry.
