Unusual music for NE April Fool’s Day

Appropriately enough for April Fool’s Day, an Afternoon of Unusual Music will be held April 1 on NE Campus.

The concert will be at 3 p.m. in the Band Hall (NFAB 1129).

Music students and faculty will perform various pieces based on classical fugue compositions.

What will make the afternoon unusual, said NE music instructor Stan Paschal, will be that “the musical selections are atypical within the discipline of music or not selections you would hear at the typical music concert.”

Paschal will perform Michael Head’s “Twins,” a humorous vocal composition about identity confusion between two brothers.

Also among those performing will be NE music instructor Patricia Asher.
