South club shoots videos for prize

The South Campus Film Club has submitted two group videos to the third annual Neuro Film Festival contest.

The videos are stories of TCC student Suzette Tiggs-Simms and a community member Rachael Stanford, who are brain disorder survivors, and their fights against their disorders.

The winner of the “Fan Favorite” will win $1,000 along with a certificate and attend the 2012 annual meeting of American Academy of Neurology in New Orleans to see their film shown to a live audience.

The contest is supported by the American Academy of Neurology Foundation and will help raise awareness to why research is needed to cure brain diseases.
