Feb. 13 SE health services will offer HIV/AIDS testing 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the health center (ESEC 2118). The screening is free for students and takes about 10 minutes.
Feb. 13 Operating a Vegetarian Food Truck will be presented noon-1 p.m. in
the SE library. Executive chef Christina MacMicken from Good Karma Kitchen will talk about what it is like to own and run a food truck that serves a gourmet healthy cuisine. Good Karma Kitchen aims to promote a balanced, holistic lifestyle by providing high-quality food while educating customers on healthy, vegetarian and gluten-free living.
Feb. 13-14 SE student activities hosts a Valentine’s Day Shopping Spree 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Main Commons. SE student organizations will raise money by selling items students, faculty and staff can buy for Valentine’s gifts.
Feb. 14 The Bone Marrow Donor Registry will be on NE Campus 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the NTAB lobby. The national bone marrow donor program needs a diverse group of donors since patients are most likely to match someone who shares their racial and ethnic background. Only a tissue swab from inside the participant’s cheek is needed. Cash donations are also welcome. Donors must be 18 and 60 and willing to donate to any patient in need.
