South show offers job fashion advice

Students looking for a new and improved way to dress inside and out of the classroom can attend the Brand U Fashion Wear seminar next week on South Campus.

Brand U has hands-on and interactive sessions on how to dress that will help students learn how to acquire a competitive edge and make a positive first impression, said Monica Miranda, the seminar’s speaker. Participants will also learn how to save money and add versatility by purchasing key investment pieces for a professional wardrobe as well as building a look that incorporates culture at work while maintaining their budget.

Miranda coordinates the South career and transfer center and has more than 12 years of experience helping students with career planning and job development strategies. Miranda graduated from Sul Ross State University with a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s in psychology.

Brand U Fashion Wear will be held 2-4 p.m. Feb. 26 in the SSTU Living Room on South Campus.
