Now-March 29 The NW visual arts department presents GameDev: The Art of Game Design and Development in the Lakeview Gallery (WFAB 1135A). An 11 a.m.-2 p.m. reception with an artist’s talk at noon will end the exhibit March 29. The exhibition features the projects of four local game designers including a 3-D real-time strategy game, an interactive installation and several Adobe Flash games. The artists are showing sketches, coding and concept designs used in the development process as well as short films and playable demos. Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.

March 27-April 30 The wall drawings and paintings of Micah Why and Nathan Green, two contemporary Texas artists, will be displayed in SE Campus’ Art Corridor II. April 2-23 The NE spring student art competition exhibition will be at the Haltom City Northeast Center. The artwork is done by NE Campus art students who can win $25-$150 for placing fourth or better. An artists’ reception will be noon-1:30 p.m. April 9. March 28 Spring Showcase, the student talent show, will be held on TR Campus starting at 7 p.m. in the Energy Auditorium. Seating begins at 6:30 p.m. Performances will be judged by faculty, and participants are permitted to bring guests. March 27 NE Campus’ jazz lab band will perform a concert 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the NE Campus theater (NFAB 1205). The band is a 22-piece jazz orchestra playing arrangements of jazz standards. March 28, 29 The NW dance program continues its anniversary celebration with In Retrospect 15 at 7:30 p.m. both days at the W.E. Scott Theater at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center.
