NW Campus is hosting the annual spring semester club sign-up event, the Club Corral, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Feb. 10 in WSTU 1303-1305.
“The Club Corral is an opportunity for students and faculty to connect,” said NW student development associate Alicia Coleman. “It also promotes for students to connect with club leaders to find common interests.”
Club Corral includes a variety of Western-themed activities, including food, music and games as well as a selfie contest for the best Western-dressed person for a chance to win a secret giveaway prize. Opportunities to learn how to line dance are available as well.
The clubs attending include Christian Student Ministries, D.A.M.A.G.E. (video game design), Anime Club, Conversations Across Cultures, Student Government Association, Horticulture 101, NW Communicators, African-American Student Organization, Catholic Club, Bridge the Gap, We Are One, Phi Theta Kappa, Criminal Justice, Pre-Law Moot Court, Tennis Club, Veterans Association, Chess Club, The Transportation and the Logistic Club.
Also in attendance will be success coaches, the kinesiology department, Men of Color Mentoring and Stay the Course.
“It’s going to be a great event. I’m really excited for all the activities and food that’s going to be there,” NW student Francis Jobe said. “It’ll be a really good way for the students to connect with each other.”
The Club Corral is also an opportunity for students and faculty to connect as well as help students connect with club leaders.
“I think this event is the perfect place to set the wheels in motion for any student wanting to get involved on campus,” said We Are One president Eva Morris. “NW has some of the most devoted club sponsors, leaders and members, and any student who is searching for like-minded peers, TCC is the place to do it.”
