What Do You See?

Created by Jesus Meraz, this inkblot test is similar to the face of a bullfrog, but looks can be deceiving depending on the psychological makeup of the person viewing the image. Photo by Joseph Serrata/The Collegian

Artistic and psychological interpretations blend together for a different kind of art exhibit on SE Campus.

Rorschach inkblots created  by SE Psychology Club members are on display during regular campus hours until April 30 in Art Corridor III.

These kinds of inkblots were created by Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach in 1921.

Subjects are shown inkblots and asked to interpret what they see in the image, which features bilateral symmetry.

The results are supposed to indicate traits such as personality and  intelligence. However, the methods and validity have changed and been questioned over the years.
