Five NE Campus students advanced to the second round of the Cisco Networking Academy NetRiders competition taking the top five spots in Texas.
In the statewide competition, Ethan Hudgins placed first, Chase Hughes second, Dante Kelly third, Dustin Ledgerwood fourth and Cody Ellis took fifth place.
More than 1,000 students competed in the U.S. and Canada in round one.
The NetRiders competition asks students to display various networking skills through interactive contests using Cisco’s Web 2.0 technology. The competition is open to any student currently or recently enrolled in a Cisco Networking Academy course, according to academynetriders.com.
