OneRepublic Dreaming Out Loud (2 stars)
On the coattails of its Timbaland-infused hit, “Apologize,” OneRepublic releases its debut, Dreaming Out Loud.
The quintet’s CD features the original version of “Apologize” (sorry, no Timbaland here).
The 12 other tracks sound exactly the same as the hit song, and; unfortunately, the sleepy guitar and uninspired voice barely work for one song yet alone the whole album.
The only other song worthy of a listen is “All Fall Down,” but even it is mediocre.
Dreaming Out Loud is a bland attempt from OneRepublic. Let’s hope its next album will have the Timbaland touch to it.
