Randy Saleh, academic advisor and adjunct instructor, will speak on The Culture of Debt 12:30-1:30 p.m. Feb. 18 in NE Campus’ Center Corner.
The session will be conducted as an interactive seminar.
“Student loans are the No. 1 debt in America,” he said. “It is not uncommon for students to have $70,000-plus for debt as undergraduates and easily six figures for a graduate degree.”
Saleh will speak about basic personal finance, debt and college completion. He will also explain how students can pay back college loans. He said he hopes when students leave the seminar, they will understand the games being played in the world of finance and start mastering the area of personal finance.
He will tell students how to build a positive credit score and how to manage debt.
“We will learn how to construct a debt snowball to begin the process of eliminating debt,” he said.
Saleh has been with TCC for 19 years. He has taught personal finance and business principles for eight years.
Lunch will be provided for registered participants.
