Managing time more effectively discussed on TR

Forty-seven students gathered in the TR Discover Room to hear tips on organizing their priorities.

TR instructor Stacy Lueking listed stress-reducing factors in the Time Management workshop Oct. 6.

“When you take control of your time, you take control of your life,” she said.

Lueking said it’s important to have a plan and set obstacles as well as have short- and long-term goals.

Students who were married, have kids or work two jobs were asked to raise their hands.

“She was very helpful and broke down what is needed to be done,” said mother of three and TR student Tonya Bodtke.

At the conclusion of the 30-minute speech, Lueking passed out calendars as a tool to help students organize their daily activities.

TR student Laura Butler said she walked away with some information she can use in her own busy life.

“She helped to manage time between school, family and two jobs,” she said.
