The NE Campus Wellness Program is inviting students along with their friends and relatives to join the TCCD team in the annual Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis.
The race is sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation, which supports people living with the disease. It will begin at 5 p.m. Dec. 5 in Sundance Square, located in downtown Fort Worth.
Those who want to participate should register online at www.fortworthjinglebellrun.kintera.org. The cost of registration for TCC team members is $16 if paid by Nov. 14. Registration for those who sign up between Nov. 15 and Dec. 3 is $25. Race-day registration is $30.
TCCD team members will receive a long-sleeved T-shirt and a bag full of coupons and goodies. Also, the top three runners/walkers from each team will be measured in a cross-country format to see which team is fastest.
This same event will occur in places like Brooklyn and San Diego. All across the country, people will dress in festive holiday outfits with bells tied around their shoelaces. Fort Worth participants are also encouraged to dress festively.
