Students can sign up to compete in the NE talent show Spooktacular until Oct. 9.

The talent show, which is being organized by the NE Union for Cultural Diversity, will be held 5-7 p.m. on Oct. 24 in Center Corner (NSTU 1615A).

Students who want to participate can sign up in NSTU 1702A until the day of the dress rehearsal. Dress rehearsal is 5-7 p.m. in NSTU 1615A and is mandatory for all participants.

“This is the second semester we’ve done it,” club president Macy Thurwachter said. “A previous president came up with the idea a few semesters ago. We’ve just pulled from that.”

Audience members are encouraged to dress up. All costumes and acts must follow TCC district policy. First-, second- and third-place performers will win prizes, and audience members will have the chance to win a prize.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Tarrant County Food Bank.

Admission is $1 for students, faculty and staff and $3 for general admission. Attendees can also pay by bringing one canned food item or a nonperishable food item. Dented cans cannot be accepted.
