‘Thriller’ routine workshop offered

By Adrian Beltran/reporter

SE students will learn the Michael Jackson dance routine for “Thriller” during a dance workshop Oct. 9.

Sheryl Jordan, a volunteer with Hangman’s House of Horrors, will lead the group 2:30-4 p.m. in the gym (ESEB 1210). All students are encouraged to attend, regardless of dance expertise.

Hangman’s House will take part in Thrill the World, an event where people across the globe perform the Thriller dance at the exact same time. The global event is scheduled for 4 p.m. Oct. 26.

Those who attend the campus dance workshop are encouraged to join Thrill the World, which will be held at Hangman’s House at 2013 N. Forest Park Blvd. in Fort Worth. The worldwide event is free, and participants must wear zombie costumes. Participants must know the dance routine, so there are multiple dance seminars for those who cannot attend the one on SE Campus.

Dates and times for the other seminars can be found at www.hangmans.com.

Last year, more than 9,000 people in 21 countries participated. Since this is a worldwide event, the dance will go on regardless of weather. Bring umbrellas and jackets if needed.
