Music assistant professor Philippe Baugh will direct an 18-piece jazz orchestra through a selection of contemporary jazz compositions Oct. 10 on NE Campus.
“I have been directing this group since 2006, but the group has been in place at NE since the late 1960s,” Baugh said.
The orchestra is comprised of student primary soloists: Davonte Anderson, Miles Belvin, Colton Crawford, Justin Gaultier and Frank Peterson.
The concert is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. in the NFAB theater.
“Admission is free,” Baugh said. “Students along with their family and friends are welcome.”
The general public is also invited to attend any NE musical performance.
