TR Halloween Bash encourages dressing up

It’s that time of year when seeing ghouls, goblins and Lady Gagas running around is strongly encouraged, especially for those attending the Halloween Bash hosted by the TR Drama Club.

Attendees can expect live music from DJ Zuhtra, a costume contest and a full dessert bar, all sponsored by Uncle Julio’s, Cupcake Cottage and Starbucks.

The Halloween Bash is scheduled 7-11 p.m. Oct. 19 at the TR Riverfront Café. Advance tickets are on sale Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on TRTR Main Street until Oct. 17. On the day of the bash, tickets cost $12.

Students planning to wear a costume pay $10 for an advanced sales ticket, but if they arrive without a costume, they will be required to pay an additional $2 at the door.

“The students will receive a receipt upon purchase, which you have to keep to get into the bash,” said Aney Leos, drama club president. “That will tell whether they paid $10 or $12.”

All proceeds from the bash will benefit Americans for the Arts, a nonprofit organization that raises money for the arts in schools.
