It’s time to alternate history, for once, and elect the country’s first female president.
Examples of female presidents have been seen through TV shows such as Political Animals and Commander-In-Chief. So, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to see a woman president in reality.
A perfect candidate would be Hillary Clinton.
Clinton has been an advocate for global protection through the Clinton Foundation and also has been in the political spotlight for many years as a U.S. senator and secretary of state.
In 2008, Clinton ran against Barack Obama for president and lost. However, Obama named her his secretary of state. While in that position, she contacted world leaders and discussed how U.S. foreign policies will change by diplomacy, the importance of economics and restoring American credibility. Her experience shows she has the right mindset of what a leader in America should embody.
It has been suggested that she will run for president in 2016.
It would show great progress in America if a woman showed that she can do anything a man can do and be given the ultimate chance of running a country.
Although I am male, I believe in change, and to change a nation, I believe accommodations should be made to take America in a different direction and that starts with someone saying, “Hello, Mrs. President.”
