South to offer sessions on financial education

Students can enhance their money management skills by attending a series of free coaching and education sessions starting Oct. 21.

These sessions aim to help students see the point in budgeting their money, said Kristie Johnson, financial coaching coordinator with Family Pathfinders of Tarrant County.

“Attendees will learn to manage their money, not let the money manage them,” she said. “Not enough month at the end of the money? This program is for you.”

Tasha Conley, coordinator with Family Pathfinders, will conduct the sessions on banking, budgeting, borrowing and credit.

Registration is available to the first 15 people who sign up. Six sessions will be held each Monday in October and November from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on South Campus.

To register, call 817-731-1173. For more information, contact Kimberly Smith at 817-515-4332 or askfec@tccd.edu.
