Now-Nov. 22 South Campus’ business and technology division has established a SACS-COC Evidence Room in SBUS 1121. Students are invited to view the evidence and learn how the division contributes to student learning, workforce education and student success.

Now-Dec. 3 South Campus’ Family Empowerment Center along with the Women’s Center of Tarrant County are hosting Jobs NOW: Job Search Clinic each day 2-4 p.m. in the FEC Training Room (SFOF 1738A). This interactive seminar with Career Coach teaches the latest job search techniques and offers help with self-marketing skills. Registration is required, so call the Women’s Center at 817-927-4050. Now-Dec. 5 The T.R.E.E. Club is sponsoring the Giving T.R.E.E. project on TR Campus in the cafeteria across from the Main Street Café. The project helps the Samaritan House in Fort Worth fulfill its children’s wish lists. Participants can choose a card from the tree and buy gifts that the child has requested. Now-Dec. 13 NW Campus is offering a nontraditional student support group, free preparation for the TSI exam and free essay-writing preparation in the WTLO Walsh Library and WFAB 2614 10-11 a.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. every Friday until the end of the semester. Students will receive help with Blackboard, study skills, Microsoft Office, keyboarding, homework and more. Preparation is also offered on Mondays and Wednesdays by appointment. Nov. 20 NE financial aid and the advising and counseling center will present Financial Literacy: Solving Debt Problems 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Community Room (NBSS 1103). The session is designed to provide students with steps to get out of financial trouble. Students will learn the symptoms and causes of debt problems as well as how to be a smart consumer of credit and financial counseling services. Nov. 20-21 Transfer Connection Days are on TR Campus 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-7:30 p.m. on TRTR Main Street. Nov. 22 The 21st Leadership eXperience Summit: Strategic Leadership will be on TR Campus 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the TRTR Action Suite. The summit will feature speaker Michael Hingson, a 9/11 survivor. Nov. 25 John Valadez, producer of the PBS documentary Latino Americans, will visit NE Campus to discuss the film 9-11 a.m. in Center Corner (NSTU 1615A). Latino Americans is a three-part, six-hour documentary featuring interviews with nearly 100 Latinos. The film chronicles the history and experiences of Latinos, the largest minority group in the U.S. The presentation is sponsored by the Organization of Latin American Students and student activities. Dec. 4 Carter BloodCare and South Campus health services will hold a blood drive and marrow donor registry 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on the SSTU Patio and in the SSTU foyer. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to give blood. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh more than 110 pounds, have a valid photo ID and have not donated within 56 days. Dec. 6 NE health services and the AIDS Outreach Center will hold free confidential HIVE and/or syphilis testing 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in NSTU 1704A.
