SE Campus planning traditional activities for Chinese New Year

It is the year of the boar. And SE Campus student activities would like students and faculty to celebrate the Chinese New Year in the ESED North Ballroom, Monday, Feb. 19, at noon.

The event will feature dancers from the J.K. Wong Kungfu Tai Chi Academy in Richardson.

The dancers will perform a traditional lion dance for all in attendance.

According to Chinese custom, the boar is associated with virility and fertility.

To have children in the year is considered a propitious event, as it is believed they will grow to be honest and happy.

Refreshments provided will include egg rolls and other traditional Chinese food.
