The annual NE Campus basketball league will run Feb. 8-29.
Any NE Campus students wanting to participate in the league need to register in the checkout room (NHPE 2111A) by Feb. 5 at 5 p.m.
It will be a 5-on-5 league, with all games this year being played on Fridays from 12:20-4 p.m., depending on how many teams participate.
The league, though, will not be the only chance students have to showcase their basketball skills.
“We’ll be having a free-throw shooting contest and a 3-point shooting contest on Feb. 1,” NE HPE instructor Kevin Harper said. “And we usually get most of our players for the league from that event.”
For students who love to play the game, but under a bit looser conditions, recreational play in the gym will start Jan. 22, giving students the chance to play pick-up games, as opposed to the stricter rules of league play.
Entries for the free-throw and 3-point shooting contest are due by 12:45 p.m. the day of the event.
Entries for recreational play can be submitted 3:20-4:20 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 1-3 p.m. Friday.
