Librarian to offer aid on research strategy

The library is an amazing and necessary tool for any college student, but lately students seem to forget that as they rely on Wikipedia for their latest term paper.

On Wednesday, March 26, NW Campus Student Success Days Committee will host Help, My Instructor Wants Me To Do Research to help fix this problem. A total research orientation, the seminar will begin at 11:15 a.m. in the NW Campus Library.

Sandra McCurdy, NW Campus assistant director of library services, will present the seminar and encourages students to attend, promising that it will help them save time and get better grades.

“Students have to do research. Students always need help doing their research, and the data material is available right here in the library. Some just don’t know how to use it,” she said. “Some of the English classes come in and we teach them how to utilize the resources available here. This is designed for anyone who thinks the Internet is their best bet for an A.”

Admission is free to any student. For more information, contact the NW Campus Library at 817-515-7725.
