April 3 A Women’s History Month music festival will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall on South Campus. Music students from the fine arts department will perform.

April 8 NE Campus’ music department will have a Music Through the Centuries traveling concert 7-9 p.m. in Center Corner (NSTU 1615A). The audience will be divided into four groups that will travel to different rooms with NE music faculty performing compositions from the baroque, classical, romantic and contemporary eras. Now-April 23 The NE spring student art competition exhibition opens at the Haltom City Northeast Center. The artwork is by NE Campus art students who can win $25-$150 for placing fourth or better. April 10-12 The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) opens at 7:30 p.m. in the Joe B. Rushing Center for the Performing Arts on South Campus. The cast of three actors will play the roles of many different characters while acting out Shakespeare’s 37 plays in a comical and lighthearted way. Tickets are free for TCC students, faculty and staff, $3 for non-TCC students and senior citizens and $6 for the general public. April 23-26 Theatre Northwest presents The Shape of Things, a romantic comedy/drama by Neil LaBute in the WTLO Theater. Showtimes start at 7:30 p.m. Danger, love and an affair combine to give this play an R rating for strong language and adult situations. April 23-26 SE’s music and theater programs will give a performance of Godspell, a musical based on the Gospel of Matthew that includes modern music set to lyrics from traditional hymns, at 7:30 p.m. in the C.A. April 23-26 NE Campus’ theater program will show Little Shop of Horrors: A Musical 7-9 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee April 26 in the NE Theater (NFAB 1204). A poor floral assistant becomes an overnight success when he discovers an exotic plant that grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore that offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite. “Audrey II” reveals itself to be an alien creature ready for global domination.
