The Reminder/Feist

Feist’s third album, The Reminder, is her freshest and most powerful yet.

The essence of the CD is subtle, but it encompasses a beautiful and slightly sad vibe the listener won’t soon forget.

“ My Moon My Man” is probably the most known song of the album; it’s the one from the Verizon Chocolate commercial. But the whole CD is worth checking out.

I love this CD more every time I listen to the simple yet provocative lyrics and melodies.

Something about the album makes the world disappear when I listen to The Reminder with headphones.

Feist’s unique voice carries volumes as she croons about wronged relationships and frustrating loves.

The album has a mellow, almost folky, tone for the majority but songs like “My Moon My Man” and “Sealion” have a more upbeat undertone.

The one problem with The Reminder is listeners must invest their time into her quietly dominant voice to get the full effect.

If the CD becomes background noise, it will become lost in the background.

Noteworthy Tracks: “The Water,” “Sealion” and “My Moon My Man”
