Students can attend Dance A-Live, a performance of studio dance class works, 8-9:30 p.m. Saturday, May 5, in NE Playhouse.
Tara Munjee, NE assistant professor of dance, said the program includes something for everyone, including different styles of dance and group numbers as well as solos.
The show’s guest choreographer is Debra Bale.
The show will also feature student choreographers and faculty choreographers, including Munjee and Amy Ross, dance instructor.
The program will include modern jazz, ballet and other dance performances. Dance styles range from hip-hop to classical to eclectic.
Munjee said all different levels of dancers have put in hard work all semester for the preparation of Dance A-Live.
Tickets are free for students, staff and faculty. General admission is $3 for other students and $2 for
seniors.

Idol chance over for Sanjaya’s act
MCT—At last it’s over.
The only thing worse than Sanjaya Malakar’s singing was everyone talking about his singing.
If he had continued, Obama and Hillary would have had to address the issue. It could have become the key issue in the upcoming presidential race.
Thankfully, we have been spared this nightmare and little Sanjaya was sent packing.
Last week American Idol decided to feature both types of music: country AND western.
Sadly, most of the contestants couldn’t really cope with such simple fare and sang dismally.
Unsurprisingly, Sanjaya gave a lackluster performance.
With his tight jeans and bandanna, Sanjaya looked like a prison bride. Add a coat of lipstick and he’d make some lifer a very nice wife. America voted, and it was finally sayonara, Sanjaya.
