Now-Nov. 30 SE Campus will exhibit Blues Talk: Ain’t No Cliché Chit-Chat, an art installation by artist Vicki Meek in Art Corridor II. The exhibit, which examines the relationship between the blues and overcoming hardship, is a collaboration among the artist and various poets. Oct. 28 The NW Dance Club will host a dance-a-thon 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in WHPE 1103. Dance-a-thon donations will help the Assessment Center of Tarrant County buy gifts for children housed at the center. Students, faculty and staff can come to the dance floor at any time for as long they wish. Oct. 30 NW’s Mosaic Dance Project will perform 2:30-4 p.m. and 7:30-9 p.m. in Theatre Northwest. The performance will feature works choreographed by NW dance faculty and solo performances by members of the dance group. The event includes an outreach program to local high schools with a full day of workshops, behind-the-scenes dress rehearsal and a Q&A session. Nov. 19-21 South Campus’ drama program will present The Nosemaker’s Apprentice: Chronicles of a Medieval Plastic Surgeon by Nick Jones and Rachel Shukert. The play tells the story of Gavin, a young orphan rescued by a local nosemaker, who becomes his apprentice and one of the best surgeons in Vienna. But when Gavin and his master cannot help a powerful injured knight, they run into trouble. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Joe B. Rushing Center for the Performing Arts. Ticket prices are $6 for general public, $3 for non-TCC students and senior citizens and free for TCC students, faculty and staff. Tickets go on sale at 7 p.m. the night of performance.
