Now-Nov. 30 Photos from the Road: In Search of Color, a photography exhibition, are on display in College Hall (NCAB 1111) on NE. The photos were taken in Argentina and Uruguay by students in a study abroad class. A reception to honor the artists will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 in College Hall. Now-Nov. 30 SE Campus is exhibiting Blues Talk: Ain’t No Cliché Chit-Chat, an art installation by artist Vicki Meek in Art Corridor II. The exhibit, which examines the relationship between the blues and overcoming hardship, is a collaboration among the artist and various poets. Nov. 19-21 South Campus’ drama program will present The Nosemaker’s Apprentice: Chronicles of a Medieval Plastic Surgeon by Nick Jones and Rachel Shukert. The play tells the story of Gavin, a young orphan rescued by a local nosemaker, who becomes his apprentice and one of the best surgeons in Vienna. But when Gavin and his master cannot help a powerful injured knight, they run into trouble. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Joe B. Rushing Center for the Performing Arts. Ticket prices are $6 for general public, $3 for non-TCC students and senior citizens and free for TCC students, faculty and staff. Tickets go on sale at 7 p.m. the night of performance. Dec. 2-4 SE Campus will present a production of Back County Crimes by Lanie Robertson at 7:30 p.m. with matinee showings Dec. 3 and 4 at 1:30 p.m. in the C.A. Roberson Theatre (ESEC 1401). The play tells the story of the murderous wrongdoings of a small backwoods town. Tickets are free to TCC students, faculty and staff, $3 for seniors and other students and $6 for general admission. Dec. 2-5 NE’s drama program will present Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest at 7 p.m. with a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee in the NFAB auditorium. The play centers on two friends during the 1890s who use the same pseudonym while causing mischief. Dec. 2-6 Theatre Northwest presents Lone Star and Laundry and Bourbon, two plays combined as one comedy by James McClure and shows life in Maynard, Texas, in 1974. The stories involve husbands, wives, war, love and honor. The play does contain strong language and adult content. Performance times will be 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2-5 and 2 p.m. Dec. 6.
