Included among the books challenged because of their contents are the Harry Potter series, The Great Gatsby and To Kill a Mockingbird. Sept. 21 NE mental health assistant professor Cynthia Savage will present Doesn’t Everyone Feel Like That Sometimes? 12:30-1:50 p.m. in College Hall (NCAB 1111). Sept. 21-22 The TR transfer center will sponsor Transfer 101 informational sessions, starting at 10:30 a.m. on the 21st and at 11 a.m. on the 22nd in the Discovery Center (TRTR 3102). Sept. 22 NE will host ASK: Suicide Prevention noon-2:30 p.m. in the Community Room (NBSS 1103). ASK is a program that trains people to recognize suicide risk factors and the proper way to handle those situations. Sept. 23 South’s literary magazine, Script, will host its 30th anniversary awards night at 6:30 p.m. in the SETC Fusion Room. Sept. 26 NW’s Walsh Library will host a presidential debate watch party starting at 8 p.m. on the third floor of WTLO. Students are invited to attend and gather to watch presidential candidates debate for the first time.
