Jan. 26 The South Campus Phi Theta Kappa honor society will sponsor an open forum for TCC students at 4 p.m. in the SSTU Texas Room. President Dr. Ernest Thomas will speak with the students.

Jan. 26 SE Campus will host a job fair 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Main Commons. Job recruiters from Six Flags, UPS and JPS Health Network will assist students looking for jobs. For more information, contact Tara Lomax at 817-515-3592.

Jan. 26 Leigh-Anne Regenold, coordinator of academic support services on NE Campus, will present Navigating CampusCruiser and WebAdvisor. The seminar will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the NSTU Center Corner on NE Campus.

Jan. 27 SE Campus will host Bank Day 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the North Ballroom. Bank of America, Chase, Texans Credit Union, Wells Fargo and First Convenience Bank will participate. Jan. 27 Club Fest will take place noon-2 p.m. in the SSTU Cafeteria on South Campus. All active campus organization will bring representatives to answer questions students may have about the clubs. Attendees can also play free arcade games and listen to musical entertainment.

Jan. 27 College Transfer Day will be held 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the SSTU Cafeteria on South Campus. Representatives from more than 25 universities will participate.

Jan. 28 The South Campus Student Government Association Inauguration takes place 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the SSTU Living Room. All of the SGA board members will be sworn in. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served. The SGA’s first meeting will follow the inauguration.

Jan. 31 Bonnie Hodges, NE public service librarian, will present Making the Library Work for You. The seminar will run 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the NSTU Center Corner on NE Campus.

Jan. 31 A recruiter from Texas Tech will be on SE Campus 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Main Commons. TCC students interested in the university can ask questions about transferring, deadlines, tuition and other requirements. For more information, contact Casey Ramos, academic advisor, at 817-515-3319.

Jan. 31-Feb. 4 TR Campus will host Take a Student to a Meal Week, a program designed to foster student and faculty/staff interactions outside of the classroom. Faculty who choose to participate should go to the student life center in TRTR 2004A the day they will go to lunch to sign up and receive a voucher.

Feb. 1 NE Campus student development services will hold its Campus Services Fair 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the NSTU Center Corner to help new students get accustomed to the resources available on campus.

Feb. 1 TR Campus will show the movie Crash and hold a discussion at 2 p.m. in Action A.

Feb. 1 Free HIV testing will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in SACC 1331 on South Campus. Call 817-515-4531 to set up an appointment.

Feb. 1-2 SE Campus will hold a Club Expo in the Main Commons 9 a.m.-1 p.m. both days. Student groups with 40 or more members will recruit.

Feb. 2 Free HIV/syphilis testing will be given 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in NSTU 1704 on NE Campus. Results will be available a week after testing. Call 817-515-6056 to schedule an appointment.

Feb. 3 Go Red, in association with National Heart Health Month, will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on TRTR Main Street on TR Campus.

Feb. 3 A Lunar New Year celebration will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in SE Campus’ Bistro. Refreshments will be served.

Feb. 4 TR Campus will offer an Information Literacy Certificate class 1-4 p.m. in TREF 1302.

Feb. 5 Students and the community can hone their writing skills at the second annual SNaP Writing Conference on NW Campus. The conference begins at 8 a.m. in WSTU 1303-1305 with a light breakfast and coffee. The conference has two workshop sessions in the morning, followed by a free lunch and question-and-answer period with several published authors. The day will conclude with a keynote speaker.

Feb. 8 NW Campus health services will offer a Basic Life Support course on performing CPR with an automated external defibrillator. The course will cost $15, runs 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in WACB 1123 and is open to anyone 18 or older. Call Chelsea Moore at 817-515-7790 for more information or to register.
