The NW Student Success Conference will offer over a dozen workshops in various locations across campus Sept. 9-10.
“Even if you’re not a first-time-to-college student, I think it will be helpful,” public services librarian Cassandra Mackie said of the conference. She and English instructor Maggie Row began planning for the conference this past spring.
Conference topics range from bench presses to students’ rights. Other workshops include ABCs of Math, Get Involved! and Exploring Personality/Personality Traits and Types. Erika Beltran, director of education at the Dallas nonprofit organization Teaching Trust, will give the keynote address at 12:30 p.m. in WSTU 1303 both days.
Those interested can preregister on WebAdvisor with the synonym 0330957 and can also register for workshops the day of the conference.
For more information, call English instructor Maggie Row at 817-515-7223 or Mackie at 817-515-7727.
