TCC students, faculty and staff observed and participated in a series of events to commemorate Veterans Day Nov. 11.

NW invited people to write the names of family and friends that served in the military on ribbons and help finish the Iraq War memorial.

On many of the campuses, discussions were held about the novel The Things They Carried, a story that follows soldiers in the Vietnam War. Along with discussions on the book, students heard about real-life experiences from veterans who served in various wars.

TR showed military films all week to honor veterans.
