NW Campus’ biannual volleyball tournament will start Feb. 7.
NW intramural coordinator Ryan Stewart said the number of teams will determine how long the tournament lasts.
“The more teams, the longer it goes,” he said. “It could be over in three days or six days.”
Stewart said the matches will be played Tuesday through Thursday.
“That’s when we have good participation,” he said.
The games will take place 3:30-6 p.m. in the NW gym, Stewart said.
“Each game will last 30-40 minutes, so we can get about four matches in,” he said. “The matches will be best two-of-three.”
Stewart expects an average turnout for the tournament.
“I would say we’d get about six teams,” he said.
Each team will field six players on the court at the same time with a maximum of eight players on each team, allowing for two subs.
Stewart was noncommittal about fielding his team of faculty and staff that reached last semester’s championship game.
“I’m not sure if we will do a team,” he said. “But I want to.”
