South seminar to help students talk positive

Students are invited to attend a Positive Self-Talk seminar 6-6:45 p.m. March 3 in the SSTU Forum Room on South Campus.

Coordinator of health services Flo Stanton will speak about how the conversations people have within themselves are affecting their daily lives.

Stanton said people have more conversations with themselves within their own psyche than any other form of communication.

Those conversations, whether negative or positive, can have a profound effect on the overall attitude and outlook on life, Stanton said.

She said everyone could benefit from attending this seminar.

The idea is “to bring about an awareness of how we talk to ourselves,” she said, and to “teach people to talk to themselves in a positive manner.”
