Celebrating its 36th anniversary, Women in New Roles will present Networking for Success Nov. 12.

Toni Allison, CEO of Knowledge for Success, will discuss the powerful impact networking has on the success of a small business.

“I decided to form and join this group for the simple reason I like helping others. Their success is my success,” said Allison on her website www.meetup.com. “I hope to find others who will want to join our networking events to help others in business.”

The former TCC student was a business development teacher but is now the founder and director of both New Quest and Knowledge for Success.

The program’s aim is to give entrepreneurs “real life experiences from experts instead of just another boring book,” Allison said on her website.

Triesha Light, psychology associate professor and the South WINR program director, explained the meeting’s significance to the WINR program.

“Mrs. Allison is one of the best speakers. She has a very high volume [energy] and is very passionate about what she talks about,” she said.

The meeting will “define networking as well as demonstrate the power that networking has on a client base within a company,” Light said.

The WINR group will meet 12:30-2 p.m. at Fort Worth’s Ol’ South Pancake House, 1509 S. University Drive. The meeting is free, but guests must pay for their own food.

Light asked that all attendees arrive by noon to place food orders.

Both the door prizes and the program will be adult-focused. Dress is business casual.
