Sept. 13 Students interested in dance are invited to study in Paris next semester. An information meeting about the study abroad program will begin at 10 a.m. in the dance studio (WHPE 1131) on NW Campus. During the meeting, dance students will learn about cost, planning and registration for the program. Sept. 11 NW students can participate in the final day of the Student Success Conference. The workshops are designed to promote good study habits and physical and emotional well-being. Ten workshops remain including planning for the future and career advice. Claudia Garcia-Aceves, high school academic advisor, is keynote speaker, sponsored by TCC’s College Access and Community Outreach department. Sept. 11 Students can learn how to schedule for success and balance life by making a daily, weekly and monthly calendar in Time Management, a workshop sponsored by South Campus student development services, 3-4 p.m. in the SSTU Forum Room. Sept. 11-12 SE student activities and advising and counseling will conclude their annual Learning Skills Week. The event gives new, returning and transfer students the opportunity to strengthen their academic skills through various workshops. Sept. 12 TR’s semi-annual Club Crawl will be held 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on TRTR Main Street. Students can pick up information from the campus’ major clubs all in one place. Students will have the chance to test their knowledge on the Constitution for a chance to win a free cupcake. They can also learn more about the Constitution from 1:15-2 p.m. in the Silent Study Area of the library with history department chair Jennifer Lawrence. Sept. 17 NW Campus plans to celebrate Constitution Day with a discussion panel. The Constitution and Privacy: Security v. Liberty will focus on the balance of two elements from the Constitution: individual rights and governmental responsibilities. Five NW faculty members will be on the panel. The event is open to the public. Students can join the discussion at 12:30 p.m. in the Walsh Library.

Sept. 17-18 A job fair puts student job seekers directly in contact with a handful of local employers and national corporations 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the WSTU lobby. Target, Amazon and Sam’s Club are some of the companies that will join NW during the campus’ first job fair of the semester.

Sept. 18 AIDS Outreach will provide free HIV testing for students 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in WCTS 1131A. No restrictions apply, and students do not need to register. Results are expected within a week of testing by phone.
