According to the Chinese calendar, New Year’s is just around the corner, and 2006 will be the year of the dog.
SE students and staff are invited to attend the Chinese New Year Celebration, 11a.m.-1p.m., Friday, Jan. 27, in the North Ballroom.
J.K. Wong Academy will perform a 30-minute Chinese lion dance at noon.
Students and staff also can enjoy Chinese music and food. Admission is free.
The event, sponsored by student activities, will provide a way for students to relax as they learn about other cultures.
“ The festivities will be an excellent opportunity for students to participate in a very colorful celebration while they enjoy some Chinese food,” Doug Peak, director of student development, said.
