SE’s annual chalk-drawing competition, Chalk The Walk, will take place 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on the sidewalk at the north entrance near “D” Wing. The first-place winner will receive a $200 TCC scholarship, the second-place winner receives a $175 scholarship and the third-place winner receives a $125 scholarship. Students are encouraged to register in advance to guarantee a spot, but they may register in person the day of the event if space is available. April 23 An interdisciplinary Shakespeare Festival will be 11:15 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in Center Corner (NSTU 1615A) on NE Campus. Activities will include music performed by NE music instructor Stan Paschal, a Shakespeare parody skit by drama students and presentations by NE English faculty. Dance professor Linda Quinn will teach audience members parts of dances performed in previous NE shows and explain how styles from Shakespeare’s era are brought into more modern times. April 23 TR Campus health services will offer free and confidential HIV/AIDS screenings 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the health center (TREF 1312). Screenings are available to the public, but patients must be 18 or older.
