After a heartbreaking loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the 2006-2007 playoffs, the Cowboys hope their new young talent will breathe life into the team as they prepare for the 2007-2008 NFL season.

Tony Romo, the Cowboy’s go-to quarterback, was a breath of fresh air in a storybook season, but his mistake at the end of the Seattle playoff game brought a tragic end to the team’s fairy tale.

While the Cowboys have added some decent new talent the past few years, the 2007 draft picks are crucial to the success of this team’s going forward.

With a new stadium to be opened in 2009, it is important for this team to be building for their future and, if for no other reason, to fill the seats in the new Texas Cowboy stadium located in Arlington.

With all the new talent, Dallas is looking toward a great ending to the 2007-2008 NFL season. The team is focused, working hard toward its goal and pushing themselves to overcome last year’s loss.

Clarke Kincaide, former TCC student and friend of Tony Romo, said Romo has told him about the team’s difficult workouts for the upcoming season.

“ They are constantly working out in the gym to avoid injuries, and really have to have their head in the game,” he said. “Even though training camps are just beginning, there aren’t any crazy late nights out partying or anything like that although there are the rumors that he is dating Carrie Underwood.”

With their hard work and dedication, many fans such as TCC student Billy Key, are seeing hope for this season.

“ I have season tickets,” he said. “The Cowboys are a fun team to watch, and I look forward to this next season.”

With the anticipation of the draft picks and their performances in this coming preseason, everyone is anxious.

Former TCC student, Josh Busbee described the Cowboy’s success, previous and future.

“ Over the years, I have been a pretty dedicated fan and was really surprised when T.O. was added to the team, or the expectations when Romo was put in to fill Bledsoe’s place,” he said. “All of these changes slowly are putting together a different team with the hope to fulfill their dream. With the newest additions after the draft, I’m interested to see how they all work out and am really looking forward to this season starting.
